The senior executive of Porsche at the headquarters in Germany expressed the intention of domestic production for China, although Porsche China denied the information. “We are OK as long as we can say our cars are engineered by Porsche, and not all Porsche cars need to be made in Germany,” said Matthias Müller, Porsche Chairman and CEO in a recent interview. This has been considered as an official response to the view-“Porsche has never been produced outside of Germany”.
The high-end car brands with comparatively less productions such as Saab, Subaru, Lotus, and Land Rover etc. are in a hurry to go out of their local markets by transferring part of capacities to the emerging auto markets like China.
